Spruce Up Your Home this Holiday Season

Many of us spend a lot of time hosting loved ones during the Spruce Up Your Home this Holiday Season holiday season. We are often looking for simple ways to spruce up our home in time for company. Some people rearrange furniture and some people do extensive cleaning, but we really suggest giving a room in your home a fresh coat of paint. Although many people believe that painting is too big of a project right before the holiday season, we think it is the most effective way to get your home looking ready for the holidays.

Paint Is Affordable

If you are painting a simple wall or an entire room in your home, painting is a relatively inexpensive option. Purchasing paint to bring life back into your home this holiday season will not cost you much money but it will make a huge difference in your home’s appearance.  Many people drop hundreds on extravagant decorations, a new chandelier, or a brand new dining room set. All of these options might make your home seem “new” but each one can get extremely expensive. You should not be making a large purchase just to impress guests when you can easily purchase the paint of your choice and impress guests for a much more affordable price.

Paint Is Not Permanent

Many of us are eager to impress guests but we don’t want to commit to something that we might not want long-term. For instance, a large screen smart television might “wow” guest, but it won’t “wow” you when it is sitting in your living room collecting dust in the months to come.   If you want to impress your guests but don’t want to make a major commitment in order to so, painting a room or two is a great alternative. You can easily paint over other paint if you grow tired of it or don’t want it all year round. Paint isn’t permanent and it isn’t supposed to be. Our styles, tastes, and preferences change and the paint on our walls can change along with them.

Paint Changes Anything

When people think about painting for the holiday season, people are typically envisioning an entire room being painted. The thought of painting an entire room is stressful to some people and that is understandable. However, an entire room does not need to be painted in order to refresh your home using paint. You can paint a variety of things in your home to improve the overall look. If you don’t want to commit to painting a room, pick something smaller to paint. You can paint your front door, outdated ceramic tiles, or your faded brick fireplace in order to freshen up your home.

We believe that paint can bring life to your home during any season but we really love the idea of using paint to spruce up your home for the holiday season. If you are thinking about painting before the holidays get into full swing, contact Richard Stewart Painting to get you started.
