Tips for Painting Your Commercial Building

Painting the exterior and/or interior of your commercial building properly can create a great first impression to potential customers. It’ll convince them that you’re a reliable company to do business with, and it’ll encourage them to return to your business over and over again. So if your commercial building needs an updated look, keep these things in mind:

Figure out the scope of your projectTips for Painting Your Commercial Building

Before you even start, you should first consider the scope of your project. Which part of the building needs to be painted? How many buildings need to be painted? How much time do you have to complete it? What’s your budget? These are all questions to ask yourself before starting your project.

Choose the right color

The paint color is vital to your commercial building, as it’s often one of the first things visitors notice. The color you choose should complement your business’ brand—that is, the colors that you see in your logo, marketing products, and digital communication. It doesn’t have to be the exact same, but you should get complementing colors.

Adhere to health and safety standards

The health and safety of your customers should be your top priority. Choose paint that will cause minimum health risks and is odorless.

Prep the building properly

To get the best end-product, you should prepare your building accordingly. It may cost a little extra, but it’ll pay out in the long-run. Pressure washing will remove all dirt and mildew, extending the life of your paint job, and be sure to replace and restore any wood, siding, or concrete.

Choose the right contractor

Ultimately, your project will depend on who gets it done. Getting the right contractor will ensure that your building will come out of this project looking better than ever. I’m planning to have my apartment building painted with White and Brown. Thank you for this reminder; I’ll make sure to choose odorless paint for the safety of my tenants. Before this, I must find a reputable commercial painting contractor first.

As you mentioned, the colors that you choose for your building should match the colors that you see in your logo. My brother is looking to have his office space repainted as he thinks that is it time for a change. I will have to bring this up with him, and see what he thinks.

I totally agree that the color of the building is the first thing that visitors notice. We once entered a building with awful exterior walls and although the interior design is fine, the color outside can still be a bit distracting. I hope they would hire experts in commercial painting and choose a better color for their establishment.
